One Hand

Give, take, give, take...and hold on to each other for balance. Just one other hand to hold is enough to make sure you don't fall. You don't need the whole world at your fingertips; one special soul can be the whole world.

The way to wake

Wake up every day with a smile. Smiles are so contagious, the person next to you will most likely grow a smile too...and then the smile circle continues all morning. There is nothing better than starting your day, the beginning of the rest of your life, than with happiness on your face.

what goes down

will go up, if we remember we can chose for it to.

rollercoaster, rollercoaster...oh how i hold on for dear life.

we strive for a day filled with balance; sometimes thinking too much about it actually throws us off.

remember to remember what's important to you.

Say No.

Sometimes, not all the time. Even when you don't really want to. The end result is a feeling of empowerment and inner strength. Who doesn't want that to lean on when times are tough?

BUT---make sure your NO is to something that won't hurt those around you. Be careful, be wise. Because sometimes, NO closes doors that were open to YES.

Will your NO affect you in the future, or just tonight?

Eat Pray Love

Sometimes losing balance for love is part of living balanced life.

I find that love is all-consuming, and if it's not, I question its validity. So, when that mind, body and spirit feeling takes over, how do we make sure the rest of our life stays on track, without complete mental distraction? Well, maybe we just sit back for a bit, and just observe, or just simply let the love do its thing. That is just part of finding the ultimate balance in life; let yourself fall and be consumed. It is totally worth it. But just remember yourself and how you found balance in other ways pre-relationship; those are needed to make your love last.

10 minutes

If everyone in this world took 10 minutes out of each day, every day, to simply sit, think, breath, reflect and imagine...there would be so much more peace. How can I say this so surely? Because the mind needs a break, time to rest and rejuvenate and become focused. Flashing advertisements, blaring radio, the smell of car gasoline in the air, the computer monitor glare permeating the eyes...these are not bringing us closer to understanding. Every time I consciously break away and begin to internally recycle and cleanse this culture out of my being, I am left with my raw self. And it is gorgeous what you can find in a raw being. Try it. 10 minutes a day is not a big sacrifice. Turn everything off and surrender to what its like to be alive and just sit.

The 4 Breakables

"Imagine life is a game in which you are juggling five balls. The balls are called work, family, health, friends and integrity. And you're keeping all of them in the air. But one day you finally come to understand that work is a rubber ball. If you drop it, it will bounce back.

The other four balls -- family, health, friends, integrity -- are made of glass. If you drop one of these, it will be irrevocably scuffed, nicked, perhaps even shattered. And once you truly understand the lesson of the five balls, you will have the beginnings of balance in your life."
